How to use & FAQ

What does “maximum size 1920” mean?

It sets the larger of width and height to 1920px. A 4032×3024 photo becomes 1920×1440; a 3024×4032 photo becomes 1440×1920. Smaller originals will be enlarged, so choose a smaller value if you don't want that.

Which sizing method should I use?

Use Width & height for an exact requirement such as “1200px wide,” Maximum size for mixed portrait and landscape photos, or Percentage to make everything half size.

How do I avoid stretching the photo?

Leave Keep aspect ratio on. Changing the width adjusts the height automatically. For example, a 4032×3024 photo set to 1920px wide becomes 1440px high.

My shop listing needs a photo exactly 1000px wide.

Choose Width & height and enter 1000 for width. With the aspect ratio locked, the height adjusts to suit the photo.

I've resized it, but there's also a file-size limit.

Set the dimensions here first, then switch to Compress and choose the KB limit. Your edits carry over.

Will enlarging a small photo make it sharper?

It gets bigger, but resizing can't create missing detail, so large increases can look blurry. Start with a larger original when possible.
